TASTING Wine of an exceptional behaviour and an astonishing sap, a balance and a rare smoothness. Wrap coloured well with ambrÈes nuances.
LOCATION OF THE VINEYARD The grounds of Chateau Cheval Brun are adjacent to those of Clos des Menuts and are situated at one of the highest point of the Saint Emilion area, at 90 meters above sea-level.
STOCK OF VINES: A harmonious mix of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc Average age of the vineyard : 24 years These three vines give a remarkably fine and smooth wine to the pleasure of consumers.
VINIFICATION: Traditional methods are used for the vinification. There is a new cellar built in 1980. The vineyard ultramodern equipment allows the fermentation process to be controlled at the desired temperature ( 82 Degree F to 86 Degree F) depending on the year.
AGEING : Conserved in oak barrels in the large medieval cellars dug into the rock. This Wine also enjoy a long ageing process at an ideal and constant temperature of 53 Degree F.
TO ACCOMPAGNY: Red meats.
Exists in Demi Bottle (half a bottle, 375ml), regular Bottle (750 ml), Magnum (2 bottles, 1.5 liters) and Jeroban (4 bottles, 3 liters)
